A Brief Overview
Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation that allows everyone to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve health and enhance the quality of life. An amazingly simple technique to learn, the ability to use Reiki is not taught in the usual sense, but is transferred to the student by the Reiki Master. Its use is not dependent on ones intellectual capacity or spiritual development and, therefore, is available to everyone. It has been successfully taught to thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds. The Reiki practitioners at Midnite Oasis use the Usui system of natural healing. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through you and surrounds you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit and creates many beneficial effects including relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and well-being. Blessings, What is Reiki? Reiki is a Japanese technique for healing, stress reduction, and relaxation. It is based on the belief that energy flows through living organisms. This unseen energy is typically referred to as "life force energy" or ki. Practitioners believe that ki is all around us and can be harnessed by the mind. Reiki heals by breaking up negative energy and replacing it with positive, healing energy, which passes through the hands of the practitioner. The hands of experienced Reiki practitioners are said to grow hot when giving a treatment. Reiki is a simple technique to learn but it is not taught in the traditional sense. Rather, the ability to use reiki is transferred to the student by the Reiki Master. The ability to perform Reiki is not dependent on intellectual capacity or the state of one's spiritual development, making Reiki universally accessible. Learn to be a Reiki Practitioner Learn how to heal yourself and others. Everything in this universe is made up of energy. Use universal life force energy to increase the body's natural ability to heal -- physically, emotionally, and spiritually. While Reiki may be a particularly useful skill for body workers, chiropractors, physical therapists, nurses, counselors, and other healers, anyone can learn to use this simple method. Come with an open mind and open heart. What makes the Usui Reiki system unique is that the ability is passed down from master to student through the process of attunements (empowerment's). "Reiki" comes from the Japanese ideograms "Rei" (spiritual wisdom) and "Ki" (life force). This is the very same energy referred to as "prana" or "chi." Reiki is not a substitute for traditional medical treatments, but can enhance and compliment many other healing modalities.
